Saturday Kids Class (Ages 6-12)

Description

Small group classes for kids ages 6-12.

Rotating art projects and activities in various materials and content.

Here are some of the themes we work with:

-material and process focus (learning how to use materials and tools or different techniques)

-artist examples or response to artist work

-art responses to various children's books

-product or craft focused

-play and experience focused content

Instructor is a NYS Certified Visual Arts Instructor with over +12 years of experience working with individuals and children with different abilities. (bio here)

Drop off only.

Parents are welcome to stay in the Cafe Space or leave and return.

Walk in rate is $30.00 (booking online gives a $5.00 discount).

Class Description:

Please arrive approximately 5-10 minutes prior to class time for check-in. (new kids must have a guardian fill out and sign our class agreement and emergency contact form) Paper copies available in person.

1.) Class begins with a 15-20 minute free-draw/free-build art activity.

2.) We collect in a circle and share studio expectations. This helps kids get to know each other and learn about the project of the day.

3.) We then have a project which lasts for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

5.) We finish with a gallery share

Cancelations and Late Fees

Parent Pick-up is expected promptly after class finishes.

*A late-fee will occur due to late pick-up.

If you arrive 15 minutes or more after class time begins, please check in at the register to see if you can join late. Your reserved class spot will be given away to a walk in student spot 15 minutes after the start of class time (if applicable).
